A gardener's approach

A good school is grown, not built.

Across more than 25 years in senior leadership - including over a decade as a Headteacher in England and the Isle of Man, Principal and Founding Director roles internationally, and ongoing consultancy work supporting schools across the UK and abroad - I've come to believe school improvement works less like construction and more like cultivation, the right conditions, tended consistently, over time.

That belief is the foundation of The Ingredients of a Great School, a twelve-part series unpacking what those conditions actually are.
